This course showed me how cool technology can be and how it works. I learned how to edit websites and make different projects on different apps.

Over the past semester, my time in SWAT has been unforgettable. Not only have I had the pleasure of working with the wonderful Julie Doyle, but she has also introduced me to a new way of seeing technology.
A few years ago, no one ever imagined the use of green screens taking off in school. However, students at Algonquin Regional High School are flocking to this exciting, multifaceted technology.

Next year our school has chosen to use Canvas as its learning management system. Canvas is a really helpful tool to use for different reasons like checking grades, or checking homework that you forget to write down during class.
SWAT members and Proctor elementary students alike had a blast at the coding class. So much so that we decided we needed to hold more classes.
A student’s social life is bound to be documented on some form of social media. Whether it’s a photo of a party they attended over the weekend or a picture of their complicated coffee orders, students share thousands of photos each day.
